Cannot find or connect to certain people PC to Xbox

Some games are not cross-playable. So inviting friends on a different platform will not work. For Marvel VS Capcom, there's crossplay between xbox and PC on the gamepass version, BUT you lose the compatibility with Steam. So either way there's very few players to play against.

It's slightly off-topic, but I just read on IGN that certain people who bought the game on the PC are complaining online that they don't have access to certain options, and in the process are admitting to having illegal copies of the game, since legitmate
owners can connect the game online and get a day one update that fixes that issue. I find that rather hilarious.

I am almost certain that you cannot use an Xbox game disk on a PC. To be played... You would have to purchase the PC version.

Thanks Oscar, homeshare group setup okay. all sharing is full accesss rights to media. Did some other research on connecting and here is now where we stand. Got media files location added in WMP, Smartglass app connected to xbox successfully, under PC settings
under device it shows xbox. Now back to xbox when under either system music player or even network settings to connect/find to Windows8 PC the xbox still cannot find it. Any other thoughts?

Same happens to me sometimes, I cannot connect to certain parties and when I do, it takes like 15 seconds. That is certain friends though. I know one guy on my friends list that I cannot connect to at all. The second I attempt to join party it tells me I
cannot connect... lol doesn't even give it a second to connect.
