    Cannot download game with code, says I already own the game


    I recently bought gears of war 2 and 3 on microsoft store on my xbox series x, howevere i requested a refund on those games because i found out that i already have codes to download those games, so i deleted the games and tried to redownload the games using the codes. The problem is that when i punch in the codes, it says i already own the game, give the code to a friend. But when i go on the microsoft store, theres a price listing meaning i have to buy the game again and it doesnt i alrrady own the game so i can download it. I think the problem is that the store recognize that my account previously bought the game so it thinks i still own it, i dont know what to do, its so fustrating, i dont want to pay for it because i already have the game codes. What am i to do?

    I highly recommend following the troubleshooting steps here:

    After each step try to see if the issue is fixed!

    First, please select System > Settings > account > remove accounts and then select your account and select Remove to confirm.

    Then, hold down the power button for about 10 seconds, until the console shuts off, then unplug the power cord and wait for 2-3 minutes before plugging it back in and turn on the Xbox.

    If the issue persists, please select System > Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console.

    If you are still encountering the same issue, please select System > Settings > System > Console info > Select Reset console > Choose Reset and keep my games and apps

    same here ..

    I have bought minecraft v1.2.11 windows pc edition but cannot unlock it on another home device I own . After downloading, installing it when I try to unlock full game it give the above error code and says "Looks like you already own this" "Go to my games
    or my library on your home device to download it. "PUR-UserAlreadyOwnsContent"

    Same here. Redeemed paid version of Minecraft Windows 10 edition from Xbox one. Now pushed to a new device that is recognized on MS account, and it appears to be installed, but after hitting "play", the "full game" will not unlock.
