Cannot download ANY games in Xbox app on brand new PC?

Do you get an error message when trying to download a game? Have you also tried downloading games through the Microsoft Store app?

Just bought my first PC in years, with Windows 11 and I am having the exact same problem - cannot install any GamePass Games via the Xbox App and I have made sure everything is activated, updated and tried all steps except the step that requires a fresh install of the OS because even though its a brand new PC I have already spent the last 24 hours installing and configuring all sorts of software with no issues and I cannot justify undoing all of that just because Xbox App is not playing ball.

I think the xbox app is good but it would be cool if there was a fresh brand smacking new pc that was an xbox with alot of keyboard an mouse capable games

I am having the same problem except the error message says that the game cannot start. I recently bought morrowind and a brand new 360gb HDD and It won't download any patches. I do have the latest console update and i am on xbox live gold. I also have it
for PC but I want to play it without having to use console commands for everything.

Suggestions?
