Cannot Delete Anything from Xbox Game Pass. Game Data Appears Stuck in WinApps

I am wondering if I need to just wipe my entire D drive clean at this point as there are over 200gb of data stuck in the WinApps folder from the Game Pass App. Microsoft Flight Sim and Doom Eternal are the larger ones.

I tried checking the temporary files and delivery optimization thing that seems to work for most people. Nothing is there.

I tried simply deleting the xbox app but it only deleted the actual app. Games were still installed when I reinstalled it (I have since attempted deleting all of them and they are all stuck).

I have given myself admin access to the WinApps folder and run two different powershell (in admin mode) commands I found in similar threads, but the files cannot be found. I cannot figure out if it is because they are on my D drive which would require a different approach...this is where the other threads generally trail off.

I am about to lose my mind at this point. About a third of my ssd is full of useless unremovable data, and this is my third night in a row trying to deal with this when I just want to play some friggin Doom (this all started when doom wouldn't launch and I was trying to reinstall it)

Well the drive is probably due for a fresh start anyhow.

Let's try removing this folder with PowerShell.

Open a PowerShell as admin.

In the PowerShell, type ''Remove-Item –path d:\WindowsApps –recurse'' and press Enter

Thanks for the help but still not working. I got the same result as when I took similar steps a couple days ago (I think I gave the admin account ownership but can't remember...been at this for four or five days now).

When trying to delete one of the files, I get an initial error message "Error 0x80070780: The file cannot be accessed by the system," with a try again option. When I click "try again" I get a different error message of "You need permission to perform this action. You require permission from Everyone to make changes to this folder."
