    Cannot Chat in Multiplayer Minecraft


    Every time I try to chat in multiplayer MC, I get the message "Chat not allowed by account settings." My account is a migrator account, so I've made sure to set all the relevant Xbox Live settings to allow, made sure my account was not accidentally set to a child account, and have freshly installed minecraft as well.

    I've even tried changing the settings to block and back to allow, and logged in and out, to no avail. Any help or solution would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks for the information.

    Try these steps again:

    Try to make the chat settings “shown” in the app and not hidden. Also click on “allow” to all of the options under Xbox live settings and click “Everyone” option to all the settings in it.
