Cannot change email associated with my Xbox account

The current email associated with my Xbox account will become obsolete soon. I obviously don't want to lose almost 15 years' worth of achievements, my gamertag, and purchased games.

I have a new outlook.com email that is my email I would like to change for my account.

However, when I try to add it as an alias and make my main alias, it says I cannot do that, because it's already in use.

From looking through the similar help questions, I haven't found a clear answer.

They say that either the new email is inactive, or it is already associated with an account.

Which neither is true, because the new email is used daily, and when I try to sign in to xbox.com it asks if I would like to make a new account using that email.

When I try to go through the support, it says that calls and chats for the issue are not available, which sucks because there's no clearly defined way to solve my specific issue that I can find.

Any clear help would be greatly appreciated, as the current email's days are numbered, which I have no control over.

Hi TK,

Technically transfers cannot be do but you can change the email address associated with a microsoft account.

In order to associate the gamertag with another account you will need to create a whole account with an email address and then do the following to associate the gamertag to that account. How

You cannot change the xbox account associated to the email, but you can change your gamertag, is this your question?

Sorry to say but existing Microsoft domain emails can't be used.
They're already associated with a Microsoft account.
You may need to create a new alias

You can change the primary email associated with the account, But you cannot transfer data or sell the account to someone else. That's against the Xbox code of conduct
