Cannot change country/region when attempting to add payment method for xbox game pass

Problem is, as usual, customer service is awful, and unhelpful. I have never ever set up any sort of pruchase on XBOX, this is the first time I've tried doing so.

You would have to contact Xbox support. Make sure that everything including your store account, windows, your payment method and billing address is set to Norway

I have done this, but when I go into my XBox game pass and try to change payment method the drop down box for my country is 'greyed out' and I cannot add a UK bank account and address. This is the same for Microsoft 365. It is the most frustrating thing ever and one cannot access Microsoft via the phone - so angry!!

Thank you for posting on the Xbox Communities Forum. We recommend you change your region only if you’re moving to a new country or region for a long time. If you're only travelling for a month or two, it's better to not change your account region as your Game Pass subscription nay not work when your account region is changed.

If you change your account region, you will need a payment method from that region to keep paying for Game Pass. So, you're better off keeping your account region and payment method the same during your travels.

It's no use changing your console's region if you don't have a payment method for the same region. If I am in a country, the payment method must be from the same country.
