Cannot Change Country for new Payment Method

I have recently moved from the USA to Australia and have added my profile/gamer tag to my fiances XBox one. I updated my contact and address details successfully, however when trying to add a new payment method with my new Australian credit card, it will
not let me change region from USA to Australia when I try and purchase DLC for a game I play under my profile.

Both my Fiance and I have updated everything via XBox and on his PC to edit my account details which all show as Australia. We just can't add a new payment method with Australia as the country.

This is very frustrating.

No problem. That's the reason why you cannot change it yet. It is because your subscription is registered to SA country and you can only use a payment method from that country for that particular subscription. Only if it expires and you would want to renew or purchase a new one, you can use then your UK payment method to purchase a subscription that matches to the location where you're coming from currently.

It's no use changing your console's region if you don't have a payment method for the same region. If I am in a country, the payment method must be from the same country.

Please try the following procedure:

1. With the Xbox turned on, press the power button on the front of the console and hold it for 10 seconds until the console turns off completely (keep holding the button even if the light goes out before the 10 seconds are up).

2. Unplug the power cord from the console and wait for 30 seconds.

3. Reconnect the power cable to your console and turn it on as usual.

4. Check if the problem is resolved. If not, I recommend trying to purchase the game or item you want directly from a web browser. If you're unsure how to do this or where to find it, please let me know what you're trying to buy, and I'll provide you with the link to the store where you can make the purchase. This should help you avoid any issues.
