    Cannot Change Capture and Share Settings (Xbox One)


    Hi,

    I am in the settings for Capture and Share and while I can select the main options:

    Allow Game Capture

    Record what happened

    Automatically upload

    Game clip resolution

    Capture location

    I cannot make a select after that, I cannot even scroll through the options that pop up on the secondary menu yet alone select anything. Right now, my settings are set to automatically upload and I do not want this enabled. Is there a known issue with the
    Xbox software?

    Xbox Capture: Only recording the first 5 seconds

    try changing the length in capture and share go to capture settings and you can set how long you want to record

    Try going into Settings, Preferences, and then Capture & Share.

    From there check to see if under Capture in the first block that says, "Allow game captures", and see if it either shows: "Captures by me or games" or "Capture by me."

    If it says, "Don't capture", then change it to either one of the other two options.

    Flexible capture settings

    You now have more control over what gets captured and recorded in games. In Settings > Preferences > Capture & share, choose between “Captures by me,” “Captures by me or games,” and “Don’t
    capture.”

    Try to change that.

    Are you referring to the limit on the Series X/S?

    In the Settings menu on your console, select Preferences, and find and select Capture & Share. This allows you to change the recording length, resolution, capture location etc. Changing these allow you to get up to 3 mins of recording.

    Try going into settings > Preferences > Capture & Share to chance the length of your captures. It may have been set to the 15-second capture mode.
