cannot buy games at the marketplace - associated address failure

Hello Community!

I keep getting the following message: "That doesn't match the alternative email address associated with your account. The correct email address starts with "..."." when trying to buy a game on the xbox marketplace. The problem is: it is 100% the right email
address. I even changed my password and that time the alternative email address got accepted.

I'd be glad to get some help with my issue.

First of all, make sure your
billing address is correct.

After that, I'd say to have a
chat with the xbox support. Unfortunately there's little we can do here.

The game is in the marketplace but you cannot buy from what I saw

You know.. some games disappear from marketplace sometimes.. I guess due to licenses expired

Only way to buy the cash cards is while in game. They cannot be purchased outside of the marketplace in the GTA 5 menu.

Is everyone trying to purchase the same game, or different content? Have you tried multiple payment methods, and still get this same error? If so, please contact phone support as this is most likely an account and/or billing issue and they would need to
help you with it from there.
