Cannot add funds to a family member account

Hi Fatal, thanks again for the reply but it's really not addressing the fundamental problem here.

I have been adding money to my kids a/c every few weeks for years now.

I fully understand, and have used, the gift gift card option on numerous occasions.

However, the core "Add Funds to Family Member a/c " function was ideal for parents.

Just login to your a/c, top 'em up and we are all ready to go. Simple!

Except now I get;





If you "Try That Again" the money will be deducted from you bank a/c, ever time, but will not be added to the intended MS a/c.

This is beyond dumb and really dangerous , if you do not realize what is happening.

It is simply not good enough that MS are aware of this issue for years, yet have not acknowledged it or implemented a fix.

Most likely you will have to contact Microsoft support from their contact us option. They will be able to help you on the spot once you use that option and figure out why your funds aren't going through to the microsoft account.

What question are you answering?

I do not see the connection between "adding funds to a family member account" and Microsoft Rewards Support.

If you believe it is still the way to go, fine ,I will try it, not too hopeful though!

Last time this happened it took a couple of weeks to get resolved.

All the deductions from my bank a/c were refunded within 48Hrs, but it took weeks to be able to add funds to my kids a/c's again.

Looking through the boards here I am not the only person having this problem.

This is a known issue for over two years - Can we not get an acknowledgement and a fix from MS?

Oh i thought you meant rewards points as funds because you said family account. The connection is that in a family account, points are transferrable within family hence "funds". If you're trying to add funds, easiest way to buy giftcard and gift it to them ao they can add it to their account. Otherwise if its just a bank to bank transfer, then you'd have to contact the bank obviously.
