Cannot add child account to family Safety Account

I started with xbox support, then was passed off to microsoft support who then pawned me off on this community support page. Absolute trash. I'm trying to add a child to my family safety account so that I can add them as a child on the xbox family. No matter what I do it does not work, I've tried adding them directly from the xbox app and creating a new outlook account and it does not work, I tried adding them to the family safety app using their gmail account and it says "Something went wrong on our end. Give it a few minutes, then try again TraceID: tBiiCZWY60eEzOOY.15.726"(when I try to add with existing gmail account) and then the error when I try to create a net new outlook account is "There's a temporary problem

There's a temporary problem with the service. Please try again. If you continue to get this message, try again later.".

I was able to add one child no issues at all but I cannot add a second child no matter what I do. Nobody seems to care enough to actually fix the problem either with my account or with the system itself.

**Update I removed the child that was there, then myself and now I can't add anyone in family safety. It's completely not working.

Hi there! I am sorry to hear about what happened. This is clearly not the situation I want you to be in. Let's see what we can do about that here.

Just to set your expectation, since this is a community, we don't have the tools here to access your accounts.

Have you already checked your children's accounts by signing in their accounts to https://family.microsoft.com/ if they're currently part of a different family group?

I also suggest that you sign in your main account to https://family.microsoft.com/ website if you'll be able to add their accounts. You could try to use a different devices or internet browsers to access the website.

I understand your situation. I know how frustrating this must be and I would feel the same way if I were on your situation. Based on the issue you're experiencing, it seems to be a server-side issue. As much as I would love to help here, I can only do so much about it.

We have two options. First, you may instead wait and try it again at a later time. Second, you may contact back the Microsoft/Xbox Support team and tell them to have your case escalated to the higher ups for further investigation. To get into the right support channel, follow the guide below:
Go to https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us > Click on Contact us > choose Subscription & billing > choose I don't recognize a charge > describe your issue > click Next > click See contact options > then choose Chat online. You should be able to get an Xbox Support agent to assist you.

Ya this is dog$hit that support pointed me here. I've tried the smartphone app, I've tried the Xbox, I've tried the browser. It just doesn't work. Now I have nobody in the family and cannot add anyone.

Not your fault but this is an Xbox/Microsoft feature, I pay for gamepass ultimate and they wouldn't be bothered to actually help me.

Yes, you will be able to setup a child account, but you wont be able to transfer his gamertag though. His Xbox account is probably an adult account because it was attached to your email address, and you cannot change an adult account to a child account.
