    Cannot activate FPS counter in Windows 10


    I already did several tutorials, but I still get the button requesting access.

    Here is what I did:

    - Hit the button, rebooted my pc. nothing.

    - Added the user I am logged in with (that is in the group administrators), to Performance Log Users, rebooted, nothing.

    - Rechecked, my account now is a member in both administrators and Performance Log Users.

    - Added the administrator user to Performance Log Users, rebooted, nothing.

    What else can I do?

    Hi Mark,

    I'm assuming you are running Windows 10 Home and not Windows 10 Pro since Home does not have access to the section, Local Users and Groups.

    I found a thread on how to get this resolved for Windows 10 users that involves using some commands but the instructions are very well written out and a link to the original source is also provided: Xbox

    Hey there!

    After you've activated it and restarted your PC, are there just dashed lines in the FPS counter when you bring up the Game Bar? And are you in a game when trying to activate it?

    No, it's independent of games. It doesn't work anywhere!

    For example: Forza Horizon 4, Gears 5, Aoe2 DE, Witcher 3, GTAV, Overcooked, Fortnite, World War Z, etc.

    It only works if you are currently in a game if it still doesnt work it could be the game u are playing and it may not be compatible
