Cannot access XBox account settings

cannot be done, you cannot transfer it to a new email as the xbox account IS the microsoft account, you would need to create a new account and have your parents account set as home on the console so you can access the games on the new account.

if you try changing the email via the alias setting then your parent will lose access and it will affect their email.

I see your account as Gold as well and you claim that shouldn't be right; log into
http://commerce.microsoft.com and check your subscriptions and transactions to see if indeed you are subscribed, possibly as of your first attempt or due to something you were previously unaware of.

As for the wrong e-mail being one of your security proofs, please refer to the
FAQ; part 4 for removing the false e-mail and have your proofs reset.

I was told by the person i spoke to in the live chat to post here. Got a direct link off them to post in this thread. I personally cannot get access to the app. As it is not there on my account. I believe that the program was set up on the previous account
that the owner of the Xbox set up before me. Therefore i cannot get access myself.

2. The reason you are unable to access the settings and get redirected is it is reading your account as a
   
   child account. You will need the parent account to
   change the settings.
3. The minimum age for an adult account is 18. You can change the birthdate on the Account website. Unfortunately, you are unable to change the birth date on Xbox.com. This is what keeps it a child account if the birthdate is under the age of 18. You can
