Cannot access my old account

If the account was not accessed or there is no activities for more than 2 years, then we can say that it has been closed due to inactivity. Unfortunately, it can no longer be reopened because it's already been permanently deleted. You can also refer to the article below as a reference.

While I appreciate your help, this isn't the case for me.

My account has been inactive for well over two years and is still not closed down, hence the gamertag is still linked to that account.

You cannot transfer, you can use your old account to access your EA account, only the old account.

Hi Mr Darcy, I think my situation is a little more complicated than changing my account via console. first things first when I try they prompt me for my old account password. I have lost my old account password. not only that, I cannot retrieve it as the
account seems to have been closed due to not logging in for sometime. So I am stuck in a situation where my existing Xbox live GT is tied to a expired windows account. I created a new one with my new email and am now trying to tie this windows account to
my old GT. But if I cannot gain access to my old windows account to change it, I cannot do anything. Hope this clarifies.

We can no longer access the old account email and therefore cannot reset the password as necessary, but just entered a request for Microsoft to change the email address on that old account so we can regain access. It seems that will be necessary to be able
to effectively use this GamerID in the future. Once this is accomplished, will follow up if we still cannot figure out how to resolve this issue.
