    Hi

    I bought a gift card for Xbox One and redeemed it to my account thinking this would show on my son't xbox account. His account is linked to mine as a family member and only I can buy him credits. The money is showing in my account but not on his Xbox. Is
    there a way to transfer or cancel this so he can use the money for a Fortnite purchase? I have no need of it and bought it just for him.

    Have you already redeemed the gift? Else, the gift code can be redeemed on another account.

    Unfortunately, canceling the redemption of your code or transferring redeemed content from one account to another, is not possible.

    For your reference, the following text has been quoted from the "How to redeem gift cards and codes" Xbox Support page.

    "Important: Before you redeem your code, make sure that you’re signed in to the correct Microsoft account on your device or browser. Codes that are redeemed on the wrong account can not be transferred to another Microsoft account by Xbox Support."

    Unfortunately, there is nothing you or Xbox Support can do in terms of transferring the game from one account to another, or cancelling the redemption of the code you purchased. For your reference, the following text is a direct quote from one of Xbox Support pages:

    "Important. Before you redeem your code, make sure that you’re signed in to the correct Microsoft account on your device or browser. Codes that are redeemed on the wrong account can not be transferred to another Microsoft account by Xbox Support."

    You can't because you gifted them and he redeemed them

    Redeemed codes aren't refundable.

    Only codes that aren't or can't be used

    This includes gift xards and no they aren't transferable

    The played rule only applies to games you bought and played

    But since its a gift the redeemed rule applies
