    CANADIAN Gamerscore promotion - help!


    I've been a Live member for over 10 years however when I go to www.xbox.com/en-ca/gamerscore to redeem my discount code, it says I'm ineligible. I'm not sure but this could be due to the fact that I changed my gamertag back on May 18th when they released
    all the unused gamertags to the public. I grabbed my original gamertag that I had when the Original Xbox was on Live.

    Can anyone help? Promotion ends tomorrow and I'm due for a nice discount for my gamerscore...

    CANADIAN Gamerscore promotion - help!

    Hey, Drainc! It's likely due to some sort of split account issue, not your gamertag change. If you haven't tried already, I suggest trying to change your region by doing a
    region migration. That generally fixes those issues. After that, try the site again before the promotion ends.

    I guess I'm ***. Account region migration throws an error for me when trying to change it:

    There’s a problem completing your move right now. Please check the Region Change Support Page to make sure it will work for you, and try again later.

    My assumption is that it is throwing the error because I'm trying to change my region from Canada to Canada. But whatever. Guess I'll just miss the $75 off promotion.

    The discount code you receive is dependent on what your Gamerscore was once the promotion launched. Any additional Gamerscore earned after the promotion launch does not get counted. Hope this helps clear it up! :)

    well unless it has 30% canadian content ,since its technically a movie/tv show.it will infringe apon our rights as canadians.

    its called the canadian content law.its there to protect us from the yankees .as well it promotes canadian art.so too bad.
