    okay so i have a very unique situation. my father is incarcerated and (legally, to be clear) possesses an xbox one console with no internet access allowed or possible. he can’t update it with or without a connection to wifi it’s not possible. i’ll list the error codes below, please let me know if there’s anything possible for him to do or if it’s the end of his consoles time. thank you. 0X88050084 0X00000000 0X00000201

    no, there is no possible way to get it updated or connected to wifi. and from what i know this came randomly after a couple years of use and 0 issues of this kind.

    Hi there,

    from what I can find by searching the web it seems that those error codes are all related to updates. Like mentioned on this support page:
    https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/errors/error-code-0x00000201

    I don't know if it's allowed or not or other restrictions, but would it be possible for someone to take the console to a location with internet access and see what happens when the console is connected to internet?
