Can you transfer games that were redeemed via code to another console?

Since the game is tied to your account, it would follow you account. However, that game is not backwards compatible so the version you own wouldn't work on the One.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. Unfortunately there is no way to transfer a game from one account to another once it has been redeemed to an account. If you were given a code and it has not been used, then you could use the code on the correct
account. However, if the game was redeemed directly to the account that was logged in during the stream, then there is not way to transfer the license to another account.

Digital games is linked to the account where the code was redeemed. Not the console.

You wont be able to transfer to another account either.

If you purchase a bundle, the games come in a paper in Key format, so you can redeem it directly on your new or old console (or via xbox.com) and your games will be linked to your account.

So do not worry, do the transfer and then redeem the game codes via Xbox Store or via https://redeem.microsoft.com/enter?ref=xboxcom&wa=wsignin1.0

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently requesting that we transfer a game that you redeemed via a pre-paid code onto another account.

Once a code has been redeemed on your account, there is no way to transfer that content to another account. That game will only be on that account and you will have to be signed into the account that purchased this game to be able to use it.

Xbox Customer Support does not have the tools to transfer this content to another account, and no one on the Xbox Forums has the tools to assist you with this.

I'm sorry about any confusion or turmoil this might have caused.
