Can you switch accounts on forza horizon four on Xbox one?

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are seeking to change accounts on your console.

There is a way to switch accounts on your console, but it will require you to
add an account to your console. This will require you to create a new Microsoft account, which can be done via the same menu:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
   
2. Select Profile & System >
   Add or switch > Add new.
3. Enter the email address for the Microsoft account that you want to add, and then select
   Enter.
   

Keep in mind that if this is not a physical copy, you will need to
designate your Xbox as your Home Xbox in order to launch those games on an account that did not purcahse them.

So what gamepass has is just the normal Forza horizon four when you clicked on ultimate edition it didn't give it to you gamepass only offers the normal one

Do you have Forza Horizon on a physical disc, or as a digital download?

Only digital downloads provide ownership for both systems.

Also as Ackis already mentioned, make sure you bought Forza Horizon 4 on the same account that you use on Xbox One and PC.

If you bought it on a different account that has your console set as "Home Console", all accounts on the Xbox One can play the game on that console, but not on the PC.

Only the account that actually purchased the game digitally can download it on Xbox AND the PC.

Another thought, how far in the game is your son on his account? I know with Forza Horizon 4 you have to progress past the tutorial of the four seasons before the game really opens up.
