Can you recover deleted chats if the other person still has the messages on Xbox?

As community users like you, we are not able to enter or check your account information, and everything we comment can be seen by anyone on the internet.

That being said, I regret to inform you, but once you decide to delete a chat, it is not possible to restore the contents of it after the deletion. This action can't be reversed if the other person didn't delete the chat because you and the other person have a separate copy.

In case you need to view a specific message, you may want to ask this person to send a screenshot of it or copy, paste and send the message you want to have.

I know this is not the kind of answer you were expecting, but your kindness is appreciated.

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. We understand you would like to know if it is possible to review your sons chats.

On the console if you go to the communication tab, all chats show here. If it has been deleted there is no way of recovering the chat unfortunately. IF the other one that it was sent to is friend or family member. They still may have the chat on their console.
Unfortunately support is unable to recover these messages either.

If you are using Hotmail or Outlook, there is a feature called ''Recover Deleted Messages''

If you have deleted the email from the deleted folder, you can get it back if it hasn't been that long since you deleted it.

Give it a try and see if it works.

okay thank you for your reply and i also have one more question so when you chat with someone on xbox and you send them a message when you delete that message can they still see it or will it apear for them as this message has been deleted

Message could not be completely in a short time be removed clean , even if has been deleted, but there are still some messages exist , last month, i have succeed recover deleted iPhone messages on computer , it's fantastic , so you still have some chance
to recover back them .
