Can you play an Xbox/Microsoft free online account game on PC?

I want to get Fable 2 and 3 and it says that they're for Xbox. I don't have a paid account for xbox like xbox live so I'm wondering if I could buy these games and download them, and then play them on PC. Also, could I play them offline after downloading? Do they have controller support? If not, that'd make me want to get them less

No you can't as the versions on the Microsoft Store are the Xbox Versions of the games.

Fable 2, far as I can tell, never had a PC port so can't be played on PC; Fable 3 you would need to find a code from a 3rd party site or buy the disc version for the game

should go to pc then its free online play there, microsoft charges to cover the costs of the first party titles servers and the profile/account and cheevo servers, all third party game servers are run and paid for by the dev/publisher and dont get a penny
from microsoft.

weird really as xbox service games on pc are free to play online.

While the games have free game modes, online multi-player (for games on Xbox, be it a free game or a paid game) require a subscription to Live. Microsoft does free play weekends but the games and times vary.

And as noted, if you are in a region with
Microsoft Rewards, you can do searches on the PC, Mobile and console to earn points which can be redeemed for various items including Xbox Live, Game Pass, and other items.

Why we need to eat ? LOL ,this question is funny, but if you play games on PC or xbox for PC,you dont need GOLD,and you can't get GOLD free games anymore .

But I think XBOX should like Playstation free games ,they dont need PS PLUS to play online, and xbox free games still need GOLD to play online
