can you manually save when playing Fattled Field 4

Hi,

Battlefield 4's single player game uses a checkpoint system to save. It's not possible to manually save the game.

It also looks like you can't "force" a checkpoint save either. =/

What are you choosing when you start playing? Continue or load game? Are you manually saving or relying on the auto-save?

I don't know if this will work for everyone, and it's not ideal but this has worked for me:

I went into settings in the game and disabled all the auto save options. I then deleted all my save games.

It then allowed me to create a manual save. After playing a little it allowed me to make a 2nd manual save. When I progress, I delete the older save and then create a new manual save. Not ideal when the game hangs up and I lose another 3 hours of play, but I can progress my main character now.

This IS NOT A FIX, and Bethesda needs to still look at the issue, but I can pay the game now, albeit with 1 character.

Im having the same problem, and from what I heard, its a corrupt save file. You might end up turning your console off while it was saving and it not telling you. Sorry bud, no known cure for it at the moment.
