Can you log into a Microsoft account if it is linked with steam

I’m sorry to say, but that’s not possible. In order to log into a Microsoft account, you need to put the email address or phone number associated with it.

There is no option like “Sign in with Steam”.

However, if you don’t recall the email address, you may want to try recovering your account by submitting the account recovery form but using instead a previously linked phone number or previously created Skype username (is not the same as our gamertag)

you can't friend, unless steam lets you log in or link your microsoft account yes you can but this game has no crossplay

Your Sea of thieves progress is linked to your Microsoft account, make sure you're logged with the correct account.

In case you have more than one email, please check on each one

If you're playing the Steam version, you need to use the Microsoft account. The progress is linked to the Microsoft account, not your Steam account.

as you logged in from steam with the banned account it will now associate that steam account as banned too. you cannot avoid an xbox live ban by logging into an xbox live game via steam with a different account now.

so if you managed to unlink the microsoft account and signed in with another then xbox live will know which steam account it is and will not let you on.
