    I would recommend you the Microsoft Rewards program !

    If you frequently earn points you can redeem them for credits. With these credits you'll be able to change your Gt and buying games and add-ons etc.

    You can also redeem the points for game pass subs etc.

    There's no way around paying for it. Have your friend pay you for it.

    Things like this are also why it's against the rules to let anyone else use your account.
