Can you help? Autistic daughter friends

Hello,

I am writing the community to sew if anyone us aware of any online xbox groups for children with Autism?

My daughter loves to play Minecraft, plants vs zombies and Roblox and I would like to help her meet some friends with similar interests playing these games.

Any tips or pointers? She is high functioning but could use some help in interacting with peers of the same age (she is 11)

I have a 7 yr old daughter and a 6 six yr old son and they both play Minecraft and Roblocks.I just let them play random games and but they are not allowed to use the mic.

Searching through clubs manually on the console is definitely something you should do to find a small little gaming community. You can also specifically search the internet with the intent of finding groups and/or charity groups that specifically spend time
playing games with people with special or other needs. I'm sure there are tons of groups of people out there who would be more than willing to play with her.

Another thing you could do in the mean time is pick up an extra controller and play with her. This is just one of those things where you've got to look hard. And also, monitor what she plays and who she plays with as well. It sucks, but people online can
be very mean sometimes.

Thank you for reaching out. Although I am unaware of any groups specifically for children with autism, there are a couple things I could recommend.

First I would recommend setting the account as a child account and choosing privacy settings you feel are appropriate. If you need help setting child settings you can follow the steps here:

You could also create “Looking for Group” post:

You can also manually explore clubs and see if there are any clubs you feel are appropriate for her

If she ever does encounter any inappropriate behavior from other players I would recommend having her tell you right away and you and report and block the player
