    Can you help me figure out what's wrong with my original Xbox One? It just today started to make this very loud buzzing noise. It doesn't sound like the top fan, it sounds electrical to me. It is not overheating. The performance is fine, no stuttering or
    lag from heat. It's just very loud. I tested the Bluray player and it works fine, made normal noises. It is not the power supply cable, that's loud too, but this is coming from the Xbox itself.

    Thank you! I will get it repaired if needbe.

    Oh weird, you're right. The video audio is quiet, sorry about that. It sounded clear on my phone last night. It's extremely loud and grinding. Not clicking, just grinding.

    It's not the main top fan, it's fine. It could be the CPU fan. It would make sense if it's the hard drive.

    I'm starting to think I should just get the Xbox One S... this one is about 7 years old (day one) and has been used almost every day since I got it. But if I could repair this on my own it would be much cheaper.

    So given the fact that we're in a pandemic and it's not exactly easy to get this repaired, what are my best options? The noise is so loud I can hear it down the hall on the other end of the house. It's way too loud to play games or watch Netflix with.

    Should I replace the hard drive myself (the warranty expired in 2014), or just buy a new better Xbox One S? I know it's a huge hassle to upgrade the Xbox One hard drive... but if the hard drive is making this much noise then I bet it will fail soon.
