    Can we please get some transparency on whether Insider builds are actually causing hardware...


    Long story short - my pre-order launch Series X was bricked after a couple of weeks of light use in skip-ahead. It took an entire month to get a replacement from MS.

    It was in Alpha Skip-Ahead (BTW people saying they wont repair / replace insider consoles are just wrong) but did the OS brick it, or was it an actual hardware failure on its own?

    MS gives you no information. They just sent me another Series X and that was that. I wish they had "re-flashed" my existing unit so I retained a TB of all my games if it wasn't a hardware issue...

    So now I'm wondering should I put it back in the insider program or not? Does the Insider program brick consoles? People around here saying "well you're taking a chance" isn't enough. What is the data on insider build causing people to be out an new $500 console?

    Xbox Insider Alpha Build: Multiplayer Connectivity ETR

    They have just found the reason causing this bug yesterday. They are now testing a new build internally. They announced that we should get the new build soon, this week.

    Please post Insider related issues in the Insider forums. You are posting on "Inside" forums, that's a subforum dedicated for Inside, a video game.

    Thank you for the details you have shared, Athmaus.

    Given that we are having issues plainly with the PC and there could be connection if you were running the Windows/Xbox Insider build while performing the attempt to do Xbox remote play. We also need to look at the other side that this could be caused by the Windows profile.

    If you have already perform the troubleshooting we provided in here and issue still persist whether you are on normal build or on Insider's build, please consult the right team for this. Please use Feedback Hub as the platform and select the Gaming and Xbox > Xbox Insider Hub category.

    Hi, if you're using an insider build please leave the program and go back to an stable build.

    Exists the possibility that is the beta build the one causing this problem

    The XBox Insider Forum is the best site for all Insider issues, and XBox Insiders
    wiki     has a FAQ section that is informative.

    Have you reset the console power supply by removing the console power cable for a few minutes?

    It is possible to run into minor bugs if you are running certain versions of the system software. However, since you are hearing something audible its possibly there may be something wrong with your hardware. I would contact customer support @ https://beta.support.xbox.com/contact-us

    They can give you further insight in your issues.
