Can we get Hashtags for our name suffixes?

I recently changed my name on Xbox, and am heavily regretting it. This is because in every game i play, i will have a series of numbers directly attached to my name. I know that i and several others thinks this just makes gamer tags look quite stupid. To
combat this, I propose that instead of just placing the number on the end, we have a hashtag between the gamer tag and number to keep them separate but allow people to identify the player.

EDIT: I mean in game, not just generally

The gamertag already has the hashtag between the name and number.

You may want to read through the gamertag update FAQ https://support.xbox.com/help/account-profile/profile/gamertag-update-faq

There is a # with gamertags that will show up in games that have been updated to work with the new change. Games that haven't updated yet won't show the #.

When you changed it, did you change it to one with special characters or was it given a suffix (hashtag and numbers at the end)

You cant check for availability since it is now any names regardless of its taken or not

You would have it plus a hashtag if its taken already

Basically NO names can be taken aince you just get a hashtag
