Can we fix matchmaking please?

They improved matchmaking a while ago, but it seems broke again, and it ruins the game. I'm a G2 of moderate skill. Since I have no other stats to go off of, but experience says that I do not want to be matched against anyone > G4, that's just too much
experience. Even if you suck, you still probably know all the ins and outs of a map if you are a G8. Worse, it actually seems like it makes my team good (it's usually a G +/- 1 where I'm at), but then throws us up against a bunch of G7,8.9,10, etc. It's
sad, because for me, it's an otherwise great game, but it's no fun losing 400-30 6 games in a row.

**Xbox One has been updated!** We have our Patch Notes listed below:

Matchmaking - Due to a high number of users we are switching to a more robust matchmaking / system that will support a high number of players. We have made some changes to our current matchmaking system that should help reduce matchmaking times. We are currently working with Microsoft and moving over to a new system that will help reduce matchmaking times to more than acceptable times. We will have more information on that soon.

Patch Notes;
-New intro cinematics for Tommy Jarvis spawn, Game Intro, and Game Outro.
-Fixed crash for VoIP that would during gameplay
-Fix for out of memory crash with a bug in the texture system bloating out textures after playing a couple of rounds.
-Fixed getting stuck when interactive with drawers.
-Fixed getting stuck when climbing through windows
-Fixed camera getting stuck when interactive with doors, windows and drawers.
-Fixed Jason getting stuck in a chop loop when breaking down doors.
-Fixed Jason getting off aligned when breaking down doors. He will no longer keep popping back in a new position.
-Fixed environment and grab kills being off.
-Fixed environment and grab kill jittering.
-Made knife pickup grab animations more accurate.
-Fixed some knife pickups from not working.

-Fixed Jason grabbing someone out of a car and them becoming a ghost.
-Fixed driving the car getting out of sync with the server / host then teleporting the player back to where they got into a car.
-Made session invitations a lot more reliable.
-Fixed crash where you would exit a match and then start a new Private Match.
-Added movable hair to the female characters.
-Optimized all maps to have a nice performance increase on Xbox One when action gets intense.
-Did a warmer lighting pass to increase visual quality.
-Fixed crash when getting grabbed by Jason.

*Note for those in Germany on Xbox One; our region is approved and we are ready to go, it will be about a week until the store can update to include Germany as a sales region.

Something is wrong with X-Box/Live

good news ... we can now matchmake on black ops 2 .... lets hope they deal with this problem now ... or are they going to fix the rest of call of duty leaderboards and matchmaking?

 

I think they really need to make a merc playlist with no parties allowed. If you're going up against a team that communicates you're going to get worked most of the time if you're playing with a bunch of ransoms.

 

Even Xbox support partying up with mates and stomping kids. Watch them playing Titanfall on their Twitch streams. They take no prisoners lol.

 

Its may not work in your region and its kind of a poor solution, but what I do to avoid those kinds of matches is I block one of the level 9s or 10s in the opposing party. As I am in Hong Kong and I play on the server located here, it severely limits the
number of people I can match against, but it prevents such horrible mismatches in the future. Ive only see one or two matches like that in the past month or so. (for the record, im a gen 5 now working on the gooser)

 

I specifically play Attrition, and most games are well balanced, even with a room full of players anywhere from Gen Zero to Gen 10... a few games are blowouts, but most are within reach the entire game... one thing Respawn did that helps is move a team out
of your lobby if they win two in a row... I don't know if they do this in other game modes, however...

 

I've been getting into balanced games. Sometimes the Generations are not balanced, but by the time the game ends it ends up being a close game.

 

I agree with BHC Bluez n 2z. At first I was slightly annoyed looking at the generations/level balance of the two teams but all-in-all it is apparently working out okay. I am only on one end or the other of a total blowout maybe 1/10 of the times I play.
If you're blocking parties you may as well go block all players who have the communication/speaker logos next to their names. I come in with a party sometimes and I'm a GEN 1/Level 48 but I have no business being above a Gen 0/Level 20 or so.. LOL. I'm getting
better but I'd say I'm definitely below average. It really is all luck of the draw. I never block anyone because I figure it's that much longer I'm going to have to wait to get into a match.

 

My server here in AU only really gets games in regular Attrition these days so games are pretty balanced due to the improved matchmaking in that playlist. I play solo though and rarely back out against full teams. Was funny when the DLC playlists dropped
though because our DLC playlists were full of teams of gen 10s. No wonder they are dead now.

 

Chemist, dealing with the same thing on the se asia server, though its mostly auzzies so im wondering how dead the au servers are.

 

Yea that's all the aussies from WA (Western Australia) because they are saying they get a better connection to SE Asia then to East Coast AU...

 

I see, well, works out great for me as im based in hk, same as the servers lol. gotta lo ve 13ms connections.

 

Xbox have announced they are moving into China soon anyways so think of it as just some early ground work

 

I haven't gotten into any mismatched games or anything like that, but for some reason since the last patch after every game the whole entire enemy team gets booted from the lobby and I end up going into a game that already started. I play Variety Pack and
theres nothing worse than being in a lobby with PILOT HUNTER as the game coming next and you set up Cards for that specific game mode and then you thrown into a LTS game with smuggled stimulant, adrenaline transfusion, and active camo, when for an LTS game
you need cards like massive payload, super charger etc.
