Can the series X give you a blackout for a few seconds

I was playing on my series X for a bit today and for some reason we had a short circuit and we lost power for one second and I tried turning back on my series X and it wouldn't turn on until I unplugged it and reconnected it after 10 seconds and I'm guessing that probably the series X can cause a short circuit in your building

That shouldn't happen to be honest. Are you using a power strip or surge protector when plugging in the console?

It's doubtful the Xbox Series X could draw enough power alone to lead to a short. Either a power surge occurred in your area coincidentally at the same time you powered on your Xbox or the outlet your Xbox is connected to is tripping a breaker. Your Xbox likely went into a safe mode when your power went out, requiring a cold boot. Check to make sure you aren't overloading any single electrical outlet as that could also be a fire hazard.

Used to play a lot of blackout but haven't really touched the game since all of those crashing errors in blackout for Xbox One X users where it made people freeze in the last few circles
