Can the Left4Dead2 disk be played on any Xbox console? Specifically the new series?

The game is backwards compatible, so yes, you can play it on the Series X. The Series S doesn't have a disc drive, so you would need to own it digitally in order to play it there.

Series x consoles are NOT xbox ones

Only thing on the books is ps5 pro with the modular design but as proven with Lego phoneand moto z series modular has been proven a failure

What’s the specific game you’re referring to? You might be able to purchase the digital version if it’s still available.

Disk drives can be really strange. I had a similar issue where an Xbox One disk (Forza Horizon 3, and the disk was carefully cleaned with no visible scratches) wouldn’t play on my friend’s Xbox One because of the unreadable error, but the console would read/play other disks okay and the same disk would play perfectly fine on mine and on a Series X.
