    I use the media player app on my xbox series x to play stored movie files. When I access the harddrive, all of the folders have the same file icon shown. Is there a way to customize these with my own images?

    I have already tried (and was successful) at changing the icons on the harddrive itself from my desktop computer, but it doesnt seem to translate to the xbox.

    Unfortunately, the Media Player App does not support any kind of folder customization, or the ability to visualize the icons you've set for your files on your desktop computer.

    yes that can be done by going to the setting and goto system setting and click on manage storage and select your system storage

    Plug in your external harddrive into a pc and check to see if it there in not you can wipe the harddrive.
