Can the controller assigned to my account be used to play on another account?

Controllers can be assigned to any account in your settings menu. Just unassign it first the reassign.

Yes of course, but in that case you should set a pin code in your account in order to prevent the controller log you in automatically in your account (if you've set the controller as a login method). After that, everytime that someone use the controller
besides you, they just have to select their account and they are ready to go

Should your account not already be signed in, your account will be automatically signed in when someone turns the controller on. But they can easily sign you out, and sign into their own account.

My brother has 'his' Elite controller set to sign him in automatically, so I just sign him out when I use that Xbox to watch stuff. We've never had any issues with this setup.

If you are worried about some one using your account with out your permission, you should

set up a pass key.

It can be used by another account! All that has to be done is to make sure that you sign out by following the steps below. And then you have your new account using that controller for the consoles ON period.

1. Press the home button on your Xbox One controller.

2. Select your gamer pic at the top left corner of the screen.

3. Select the sign out option.

4. Select sign in and enter the new account credentials!
