Can the bluetooth function on the Xbox one be reset / fixed?

OK is it possible to repair the RF then?

The controller is the newer xbox one model and it connects with other xboxs fine but mine is the original xbox one model so I think the bluetooth in the xbox itself might be going out if that's possible. I did connect it to another xbox just to make sure it wasn't the controller and it stayed connected with no issues

Hi, I'm Luis a Xbox user just like you. Thanks for reaching out us here. There is no way to specifically reset the bluetooth function but you can try with a full power cycle:

Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button  on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

Once the lights on the front of the console, unplug the power cable from the rear of the console.

Wait at least 30 seconds.

Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button  on the console or the Xbox button  on your controller.

If that does not work, factory reset your console before getting it serviced

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Xbox consoles do not use Bluetooth at all. The controllers connect to consoles via RF. The Xbox controllers only use Bluetooth to connect to PCs and phones.

No it is an outdated Bluetooth controller, You need to buy a new controller.
