my xbox one s turns on, but doesn’t display anything to my tv, controllers can’t connect and my xbox turns off after about 20 seconds, i’ve tried hard resetting it but that doesn’t work either, it also doesn’t turn off if it is on and I click the button.

can someone help me with my xbox one s?

Yes i have tried both of those boot up methods. The screen is displaying no signal, no external devices are plugged into my console and my console is directly plugged into a wall outlet.

Hi, Aquazx! Thank you for reaching out.
I'm AJ, an Independent Advisor for the Xbox Community.
I'm sorry you are experiencing issues with your console.

If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions:

    - Is your screen, by any chance, displaying "No signal" while the console is on?

    - Besides your TV, do you have any external devices plugged into your console?

    - Is your console plugged directly into one of the wall's outlets?

    - Have you already tried both of the following alternative boot-up methods?

    Display reset:

    • If there's a disc in the console, eject it.
    • On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for 10 seconds to turn off the console.
    • Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console.
You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. DO NOT LET GO until the second beep occurs.

*Note: If you have an Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, you’ll need to press and hold the Xbox button and the Bind button instead, as your console does not have an Eject button.

    ___

    Xbox Startup Troubleshooter:

    • Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
    • Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.
    • Press and hold the BIND button and the EJECT button, and then press the Xbox button on the console.

*Note The Xbox One S All-Digital Edition does not have an EJECT button. You can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter on this console by holding only the BIND button (steps 3 & 4) and then pressing the Xbox button.

    • Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
    • Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.
    • The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

I'll be looking forward to your reply.
    Best regards.

Can someone Help me fix my Xbox One???

    Hi there F4Luna.

    Thank you for your response.

    Here are some more idea's:

    Check for Overheating Issues
Sometimes, overheating can cause the console to shut down unexpectedly.

Make sure your Xbox One is in a well-ventilated area, away from walls or other objects that might block the vents.
Use compressed air to blow out any dust from the vents. Dust buildup can cause the console to overheat.
Feel the console to see if it’s unusually hot to the touch. If it is, let it cool down before trying to turn it on again.

    Inspect the Internal Hard Drive
A failing hard drive can cause various issues, including shutting down during operations.

When you turn on the Xbox, listen for any unusual clicking or grinding noises, which can indicate a failing hard drive.
If you suspect the hard drive is failing, you might need to replace it. This involves opening the console, so if you’re not comfortable with this, it’s best to seek professional help or contact Xbox support.

Perform a Manual Reset of the Internal Power Supply
The internal power supply can sometimes get stuck in a state that causes power issues.

Disconnect the power supply from the Xbox and the wall outlet.
Leave it unplugged for at least 10 minutes.
Plug everything back in and try to turn on the console.

Attempt a Secondary USB Offline Update
Since your previous offline update attempt was unsuccessful, try a different USB drive or download the update file again to ensure it wasn’t corrupted.

Sometimes, the issue could be with the USB drive itself.
Ensure you have the latest update file from the official Xbox website.

    I hope this helps.

I shall be here for your response. -Lumie

Can someone Help me fix my Xbox One???

    Hi there F4Lúna.

I am Lumie and I would love to assist you today.

I am so sorry you are having such extreme issues with your Xbox One.

It sounds like your Xbox One is experiencing multiple issues, possibly related to both software and hardware. Here’s a detailed guide on potential fixes for your situation:

    Power Supply Check
    Step-by-Step:

    Inspect the Power Supply:
Ensure the power brick is plugged in correctly and the light on the power brick is solid white or orange. If it’s flashing, there’s a problem with the power supply.
    Power Cycle the Console:
Unplug the power brick from both the Xbox One and the wall outlet.
    Wait for 10 seconds.
Plug the power brick back into the Xbox One and the wall outlet.

    Clearing Cache
    Step-by-Step:

    Complete Power Down:
Hold the power button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
    Unplug and Replug:
Unplug the power cable from the console and wait for a few minutes.
Plug the power cable back in and turn on the console.

    HDMI Connection Check
    Step-by-Step:

    Check HDMI Cable and Ports:
Ensure the HDMI cable is properly connected to both the Xbox One and the TV/monitor.
Try using a different HDMI cable and/or a different HDMI port on your TV or monitor.
    Reset Display Settings:
    Turn off the console.
Turn on the console by pressing and holding the power button and the eject button simultaneously.
Hold the buttons until you hear a second beep (about 10 seconds). This should reset the display settings.

Offline System Update (OSU) via USB
    Step-by-Step:

    Prepare a USB Drive:
Format a USB drive to NTFS.
Download the Xbox One Offline System Update file from the official Xbox website.
Extract the downloaded file and copy the $SystemUpdate file to the root directory of the USB drive.
    Initiate OSU:
    Turn off the console.
Plug the USB drive into the console.
Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the EJECT button, then press the Xbox button.
Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
Listen for two "power-up" tones a few seconds apart before releasing the BIND and EJECT buttons.
The console should start in the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter and you can select the option for Offline System Update.

    Factory Reset
Note: This will erase all data on your Xbox, including games and apps. Ensure your data is backed up if possible.

    Step-by-Step:

    Using the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter:
    Turn off the console.
Press and hold the BIND button and the EJECT button, then press the Xbox button.
Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
Release the buttons after the second power-up tone.
Select the option for "Reset this Xbox" and then choose "Remove everything."

    I hope this helps.

I shall be here for your response if there are anymore indicators that can be found from this!

    Thank you. -Lumie
