Can someone help me figure out what's wrong with my friends Xbox One?

My friends cousins little brothers Xbox one straight died during a storm, it gets no power what's so ever, no light, no sound,

They assumed it was the power supply so the cousin tried his known working power supply on his brothers and it didn't work, he then returned the power supply to his own Xbox one and for some reason now both Xboxes are completely powerless like it was some spreading disease lmao , anyways he asked me to try and fix them and I'm new to learning electronics so after weeks of looking at it and researching I'm completely stumped, and because I'm new I can't even trust that I took any readings right and have no clue if I'm actually getting anywhere ,

The Xbox board does have "test points" across it such as "TP8B2" across it and about a third of them read short to ground (assuming I did things right) and I have no idea if that even means anything lmao, and I checked some of the mosfets by the power area and I believe they were okay aside from some tiny yellow capacitors also reading short, and yes I used my known working power brick from my personal Xbox, the light turns orange and then it cuts itself off, and it still works perfectly with my Xbox, this is my first attempt at fixing something and I'm afraid I got a little too ambitious I'm having a blast and learning a lot tho so I guess that's what truly matters, any help would be appreciated and I will try to reply at my best ability

I understand you need help with the Xbox problem having no power.

Just a heads up, we do not provide any repair steps if there is already a problem with the Xbox itself. We usually just provide troubleshooting steps that can maybe help fix the problem and in any case it will not and the Xbox needs repair, we will be referring you to service options from the website most especially when the console is still in warranty. But with older models, we do not have those options anymore. I would suggest taking that to a technician instead.

mine is plugged into what I call an extension lead and I've played it yesterday and today for 8 hours straight both days, no problems at all.

Make sure you're plugged into the wall and NOT a power strip.
