Can someone help me bc I changed my name and is not changed in game

Can you please sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/profile and check if you can see the changes that were made from there? If yes, please remove and re-add your account on the Xbox console.

I never changed my gamertag. My gamertag displays my complete name when I play online. I have been trying to change it, but microsoft want 10 bucks for it! Even though it states that you can change it atleast ones for free! This is a security issue for me.
Can someone help me change my gamertag not to display my full name without getting charged for it? Thanks!

If your name was changed by Microsoft, it likely means your old name was inappropriate or went against the code of conduct. Unfortunately you can't recover it if that's the case.

The first thing is to check the enforcement teams website at enforcement.xbox.com and it will tell you if your gamer tag was forcefully changed by them for a violation of the code of conduct.

If it does not show an enforcement action.

Do you still have the same Gamerscore as before or is it like a 0 Gamerscore which would normally mean it was a new account that you signed into and it created a new gamertag for you and you would want to make sure you are signed into the correct account.
