can someone assist me i have a blank screen but i don't think it is the black screen of death

Hey there!

The best solution to this is to try to reset your console, but also try to unplug all usb devices incase its a bad usb cable.. This is quite rare but it may be the reason why, (Even though it should display something instead of nothing)



Impart from that a factory reset should fix the issue.. Sometimes something as simple as xbox updates can cause corrupt data if the installation failed.

What I did to fix this issue was to:

1. Unplug Console and re-plug it in (in order to make sure it is not a one time issue)

- If the issue is still present then:

2. On Xbox One S, and Xbox One X, whilst the console is off (keep in mind the console should be plugged in) Press the sync button (to sync controllers) and the power button (the X button) at the same time. Keep them pressed, you will start to hear the start
up chime a few times before we get to the recovery menu.

3. Once there, on your display you should see a total of 4 options, and at the top left there should be a title that says "Troubleshoot".

4. On that menu, go to the option that says "Reset this Xbox". Select it.

5. You will be asked if you would like to keep your games installed, to save time later on, select yes.

6. Once you select yes, your console will boot up as if it were just unboxed.

NOTICE: This will NOT delete your game data. If your game data is in the cloud, there is no reason to loose it, just know you will need to sync your data again as you enter the game (if you have a lot of progress on that certain game it will take time)
