Can not update physical games

I have a lot of physical games installed in an almost empty external hard drive. However, when i have to update then, the installation is interrupted with an error message saying to delete space in my hard drive, which is already almost empty. How do i
solve this problem?

obs: I've already tried to delete some space in the internal hard drive, by the way the problem remains. It only happens with physical games

When I could just sit down and play a game and not have all this DLC, pre-order crap(sans physical objects), updates, or even worry about what I can do with the game.

Sorry to hear it. Have you tried power cycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds until it shuts down then unplugging everything and letting it sit for 10 minutes?

In the meantime, what brand and size of drive are you using and is it USB 3.0 compatible?

There is an initial update that is mandatory. After that update, you can go offline.

Is that the Console update or game update? If it is the console update it is ok. But is there mandatory update for EVERY game purchased physically?

To physically check for updates you need to go to your my games and apps, then scroll down to updates where you should see black ops 4. Then hit the select button and you can queue it to update from there.

Can you elaborate a bit? Do you own the game physically or digitally? Is there an error message when you try to launch the game? Is it showing an update that's stuck at 100%?
