My Xbox will not turn on.

What color is the light on the power adapter? Also try pluging the console in a different power outlet. Make sure that all plugs (Av cable, Power cables) to the xbox are pluged in. The power cable connects to the wall then to the power brick then to the
console. make sure all these are pluged in all the way and that there is nothing loose

My Xbox will not turn on.

I have had my Xbox 360s for about 10 months, and I have never had a problem with it. But I tried playing it yesterday, and it will not work. Every now and then it just starts making the turn on sound and last night i got it to come on, but it would not open
the disc drive or connect a controller. Please help me, any advice is welcome.

Hi there,

if this happens directly from start up please try the following:

First please try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:
Restart or Power Cycle Xbox One Console

If that doesn't fix anything please try the following steps:

Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off. Wait 30 seconds.

Plug the power cord back in.

Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button on the console.

Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.

Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. Note If you don't hear two power-up tones after 15 seconds, it means this failed. Likewise, if you hear any “power-down” chirps, that also means this failed.

You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

This should show a menu with the option to factory reset the console, if it does not please try the steps again

Factory Reset the console (with options to keep games and apps installed)

If that also fails then it's best to contact Xbox Support via Phone via: Customer Support

Make sure the country in bottom left corner matches your region.

it sounds like the x1 has significant input lag on the hdmi in. for video you wont notice this at all, but for gaming it sounds like you will.

i cant find it, but it was from a panello when he was talking about using ps4 on the hdmi in for x1. his quote was something to the effect: you can, but he would not advise it because the input lag.

Sweet, didn't know that. BTW, while were on the TV subject, Major Nelson was in Edmonton on Sunday and I asked him about the TV guide feature. He said it will be available in Canada, all you do is when you plug in your tv box (aka Shaw cable box, Telus optik
TV box), just enter your postal code and you should be good to go. I imagine that you will have to select your tv provider after you enter your postal code to get the right tv guide to come up.
