Can not sign into Xbox Live on PC (Xbox App Beta, Xbox Game Bar)

I am at my wits end with an issue involving the Xbox Gamepass PC App. For some reason, I am unable to log into my Xbox Live account after the app recently updated. When I click on the sign in button, nothing happens. No error code, no pop ups, just
the button briefly registering a click and nothing. Likewise with the Gamebar, I am unable to log into Xbox live. I have tried reinstalling the app, resetting the app, seeing if Xbox identity provider is installed (it is) and confirming all Xbox services
are running, but nothing has helped. And due to not being able to log in, I am unable to play any of the Gamepass games I have on my pc. Is there something I am missing or is there a major bug, because I have seen similar feedback on other users reporting
an inability to sign into the service.

Hi Old Man Willow, yes Xbox Live is required for the Xbox App requires a user to sign in to an account. Please try using Xbox App Beta to see if your are experiencing the same issue. If the issue continues please use the "report a problem" by clicking
the happy face on left NAV bar in the beta version of the app. In the mean time I will call this out in our reports to the developers requesting an investigation.

To download the beta version go to the store on your PC and search for "Xbox App Beta".

Anyone use Xbox app on PC?

All my chat history is gone except from the last few days of chat.

Everything is ok on Xbox app Beta, Phone app and Console.

So how come my chat history is missing on Xbox-app on PC, but everything ok on Xbox-app Beta on PC, Phone-app, Console and Xbox Game Bar? Only Xbox-app is missing chat history. Happened after last update.

I can use Xbox-app Beta until the issue has been solved, but prefer the usual Xbox-app on PC.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

I'm having the same issue. I literally can't get anything to load. Tried the xbox app, won't sign in. Tried the xbox companion app, just sits there and spins. Can't load into any games like Minecraft because of it.

Things you could try;

signing in with the xbox console companion app.
Check for windows updates
If you haven't already, try restarting the PC.
You could try running windows troubleshooter for "windows store apps"
see if you can sign in with a different account, and then switch back
