    Can not add my hotmail.ca email account to my Xbox account


    My live account was created in the original Xbox days. It started on my parent's email and I changed it later to mine. But now, I'm running into an issue where the email I now use and the email attached to my Xbox account both have the same phone number, so because of security, I can only use one or the other. I've tried adding my current email to my Xbox account, but only get the following message "This email is part of a reserved domain. Please enter a different email address"

    I've tried the "contact us" but it kept redirecting me to the bot which couldn't understand my issue resulting in an infinite loop.

    It's getting infuriating that I can EITHER play Xbox or use my email and switch the number between them as needed.

    I'm having the same issue as Cats and I'm able to log into the links you suggested with the new WLID with no issues and have been checking mail on the account daily via web and Blackberry. I'm trying to change the current WLID with this account to a hotmail.ca
    account. Could the fact that I'm trying to use a hotmail.ca account be the cause of the problem?

    Are you wanting to add his email as an email used to sign into your account?

    As long as his email is not currently a MS account you would be able to do that by going to account.microsoft.com/addassocid and add his account as an alias to your account that way he then can use his email address to sign into your account and you would
    still be able to use your email address to sign into your account also.

    If his email is already a MS account then you would not be able to do that.
