    Can my external hard drive corrupt my console?


    So my console has been on the downhill slope for the last few weeks. I can play it for awhile then it will freeze between menus before becoming unresponsive to my controller altogether. When I try to reset it, the console turns back on but nothing shows
    up on my television screen before the console shuts off altogether. If I hard unplug the consoles power cord for about an hour it'll come back but then I run into the first issue again.

    I am more than sure its a hardware issue but could it be possible that its caused by external hard drive? I have never had an issue with it before but that's the only other thing it could be besides hardware.

    If you do have an external hard drive connected to the console. Please turn off your console then disconnect the external hard drive. Turn on the console without it and see if everything is working fine.

    This can also happen if there is a corrupted external hard drive connected to the console. Let me know if it works.

    Do you have an external hard drive plugged into your console? If yes, kindly unplug the hard drive and after that perform a powercycle. Keep the hard drive unplugged as it can be corrupted.

    My xbox won't turn on

    Kindly unplug the external hard drive and then unplug the console for 5 minutes and then keep the hard drive unplugged. If the console turn on when the hard drive is unplugged, it means that it is corrupted.
