    Can Microsoft restore accidentally deleted cloud data?


    I was trying to clear my local storage to get cloud data to download to the xbox again for Ark survival evolved. I accidentally hit "delete everywhere". Is there any possible way Microsoft can restore that data? I'd hate to think I lost everything over clicking the wrong option on accident....

    I apologize but no one can restore a deleted cloud save once we have chosen to "delete everywhere". Even Microsoft or Xbox Support.

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I am a gamer like you trying to help and guide other players and I'm sorry to hear that you accidentally deleted your NBA 2k25 saved data.

    There is no assurance that your data can be recovered because the step that you accidentally did is unrecoverable on a local data standpoint. You may try to see if you still have an available saved data from the cloud.

    Please note that this method will overwrite any local save data that you currently have on your console, so make sure to back up any local saves before restoring the cloud save.

    1. Open the game on your Xbox console.

    2. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

    3. Select "My games & apps" and then select "See all" to view all your games.

    4. Find the game that you want to restore the cloud save for and press the menu button on your controller.

    5. Select "Manage game & add-ons" and then select "Saved data".

    6. Select "Cloud saves" and then select the saved data that you want to restore.

    7. Select "Download to console" to restore the cloud save to your Xbox console.

    If the cloud saves option is not showing, this means that your data is deleted in both console and cloud.

    Offline game save overwrote cloud data

    Since the cloud data was overwritten so you can't go back to the previous save, you would have to have deleted the local game data and then restored it to the previous cloud.

    yea thats not a good idea, i like the cloud saving better, no corruption of data, or saves accidentally getting deleted.

    Somehow overwrote savefiles

    If you go into your settings and cloud storage is active then your game may be saved to the cloud. However if the new game start has been saved over the old data and the old data has been deleted from the cloud there is not an option to restore it.
