Can Microsoft implement a feature locking controller (like phone unlock)

These controllers are getting expensive and open to thieving, especially when running a youth club etc. surely some security measures could be put in place. At the moment it seems it is too easy to take a controller and pair it on another console.

You can already change the brightness of the controller on Xbox, so it's not like the controller shouldn't be able to do it on PC.

What's really irritating is that this feature has already been implemented to PC, but exclusively for Elite controllers, which makes no sense since regular controllers are capable too of having this feature. It looks like you are locking the feature away from us to give the illusion the Elite controllers are the only ones that can do it.

No, currently the
personal passkey only protects the profile alone. There is no passkey feature that locks out the entire console.

Happens to me too from time to time. Locking/Freezing/Restarting is a "feature" implemented in all Microsoft products, so it's to be expected it's in the Xbox too.

Be careful using the Peel Remote Control app. I don't know if they still do it as I uninstalled it when I discovered they added a feature that adds an overlay screen on top of my cellphone lock screen which forces you to do an additional unwanted action
(swipe IIRC) every time you want to unlock your phone. That quickly became annoying as I was forced by work policy to always have the phone lock after x minutes of non-use.
