Can I use the 120v power cable provided in the US Xbox S and plug it to 220v socket here?

Hello AljonValdez, the most important thing is to check if the Xbox One S is automatic bivolt, this is written on the back of the Xbox by definition most of them are bivolt, so you won't need an adapter.

As for cable, you can buy another one that has the same connection but say in the specifications that it supports 220v.

The Xbox One S internal power supply supports both 110 and 220V all you will need to do is change the cable to match the wall socket or use an adapter plug.

Hi! I am moving from the US to Australia in a few weeks and want to get what I need ahead of time so it can be up and running as soon as I get there. I called Xbox support here in the states and they said that after I arrive I can call Australia
Xbox to get a new power cable but i don't want to wait so I was told that with the right power converter it could also work.

Here is my question - will a US purchased Xbox one work with a 2000 watt 220v to 120v step down coverter for laptops and other dual voltage items? I am having a hard time wrapping my head around watts and volts.

The internal power supply of Xbox One work with both 220v and 110v so, if you use a cable with the right plug to put in the wall, you can use it witohut any issue.

Remember to switch your regione in your Microsoft Account from US to Australia and add a new valid address for future payment.

But since you already tried using the xbox one with its US power supply in India its possible you could have completely fried your xbox one as india power outlets use 220v. The power supply that comes with US systems only accept 120v.
