Can I use previous password reset confirmations to prove I own an account

It cannot be confirmed that way, but you can do the following to try to recover the account: Go to the following link https://account.microsoft.com/ go to the login section in the upper right corner Then enter your email, press enter, in the next section You will click on the option Forgot your password? Select the recovery method you entered above, you will receive a code for the previously selected address, then simply enter the new password.

If it doesn't work, you can fill out the account recovery form:

You will have a period of 24 hours, where you will receive a response from the Microsoft agents

Hi Crinklyink85429. I think the only thing you can do at this point is contact xbox billing and account support. You can provide them with the info they need to prove you own the account in order for them to reset your password for you.

Thanks for the help but you see, i know the password to my own account but i do not know who posseses my parent account, it used to be a friend (a parent confirmed it) but in september it jut changed. as far as i know i am not able to reset the password
for the parental account because it just sent a reset password link to a backup adress. any other advice?

When you sign in get the message "It looks like someone else is using your account" you prove ownership by getting the code wherever they tell you. Then yes it tells you to reset your password for security, after resetting the password you are required to
sign in again with that WLID. Sometimes the email field can be auto-populated by your own WLID or another and you have to select "Sign in with a different WLID" then put the email there. But I just want to confirm you are getting the code right? After that
you should be signed into their WLID account summary page and be able to add security. Child accounts however require the parent to sign in after signing in as the child account and it can be confusing.

Hello, I had the same issue no more than two days ago unfortunately due to my idiocy I had forgotten the password to my email. It resulted in me beginning a new account. If you still use your Microsoft account and know basic information (security code, last
three emails sent and received) you can ask for a password reset by filling in a form to prove you own the MS account.
