Depending on which Model.xbox you have

Og xbox one only.needs hdmi 1.4

Xbox one s ro.x needs hdmi 2.0

Xbox series.consoles hdmi 2.1

Any good hdmi.cable will.have a certification qr code you scan with the HDMI app tells you the capabilities and info.about.the cable thos is important for .bandwidth and feature support. Lke. arc or.Dolby digital or surround sound

Hdmi. 1.4 and older don't have this option

i have a 5.99 hdmi cable that is fully wired and works for 2.1 and arc and ethernet, does not need a qr code.

Similar to steve30x's answers, check the cord if you are using something other than the one that came with it. I did not realize that it takes a specific HDMI cord for the better quality. I was trying to use a longer cord that I had purchased years ago
and needed to buy a new one that was 2.0 compliant if I recall or 2.2.

I’m using the HDMI cord that came with my X, which is supposedly HDMI 2.0. I’ve also tried the HDMI from my Xbox One S. OS version is 10.0.17133.2020

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. Are you using the HDMI cord that came with the Xbox One originally? Like our ambassador suggested different HDMI Ports or different HDMI cables. You could also try the console on a different
TV to determine where the problem could be popping up.
