Can I upload an RE5 saved game from the 360 to play on the One or Series X?

unfortunately the 360 version is not backwards compatible, and the Xbox one version is a separate game and not compatible with the old saves

And if I buy the series X version can i upload my save from my xbox one version or i need to restart the whole game?

Hi, i think uploading of 360 save games never happened since i moved from Xbox One to Xbox One X, which was about 2 years ago.

I am using 360 occasionally for non BC titles. 360 uploads games to cloud normally and i can see it on Xbox One after that. 360 has a manager where i can explicitly upload needed files, while on Xbox One there is Sync function only, which only downloads
new save games from cloud, but does not upload (

To add to what Gerardo said, when it comes to game saves for 360 games, the only way to transfer them over to an Xbox One/Series console is to upload them to the Xbox Network from a 360 console. If you've done that, when you launch a 360 game on your Xbox One/Series console that you have progress on, it will download a copy of the save from the cloud and you can continue on from where you left off. If you didn't upload your saves to the cloud, you'd have to start over from scratch unfortunately.

If you used the Cloud for game saves, then on the games that are backward compatible, your saves can be downloaded from said Cloud.

Example: My friend recently purchased a X Box One and Borderlands:The Handsome Collection and had to put his Borderlands discs (From the 360.) into his 360 and upload his saves. Upon playing The Handsome Collection on the X Box One, he downloaded all his
level 72 characters; missions/story had to started from scratch.
